Apple is among the largest companies in the world, with a broad portfolio of hardware and software products targeted at consumers and businesses. Apple's iPhone accounts for the majority of the firm's sales, and Apple's other products, such as the Mac, iPad, and Watch, are designed around the iPhone as the focal point of an expansive software ecosystem. Apple has progressively worked to add new applications, such as streaming video, subscription bundles, and augmented reality. The firm designs its own software and semiconductors and works with subcontractors such as Foxconn and TSMC to build its products and chips. Slightly less than half of Apple's sales come directly through its flagship stores, with the majority coming indirectly through partnerships and distribution.

Apple filed a lawsuit Friday against OpenAI and two former Apple employees, accusing them of stealing trade secrets and using confidential hardware information to accelerate OpenAI's device development. The case was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and names former Apple engineers Chang Liu and Tang Yew Tan, who later joined OpenAI. According to the complaint, Apple alleges that Tang Yew Tan, now OpenAI's head of hardware, is using Apple's proprietary technology in his current role, while Chang Liu allegedly copied dozens of confidential hardware files after accepting a position at OpenAI. Apple claims the files included highly sensitive engineering and product-development information. The lawsuit also accuses OpenAI of encouraging job candidates to bring Apple prototypes and design materials to interviews. $AAPL $OPEAZZX.P

View on StockTwits ↗People compare AI to the dot-com era, but there’s a major difference. Back then, many companies had little revenue and adoption. Today, AI is already generating billions in revenue, and the world’s largest companies are committing hundreds of billions of dollars to chips, power, networking, and data centers because demand is already here. Every AI model, AI agent, and breakthrough requires enormous compute and electricity. $MSFT $AAPL $SPCX $NIXX
